My granddaughter gave these to me with one of her big happy smiles and hugs. What sweet memories violets evoke of when I did the same for my mom and grandma. What a blessing to share and know that these are eternal memories because love was shared. Have a wonderful May!
Our lives are full of waiting which can be happy anticipation or heavy sighing. Our future extends beyond our next and our last breath. Having said that, these ancient words bring clear focus and hope in a world often struggling with ugliness when beauty seems elusive.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11
This is not my usual post. But life has not been ‘usual’ lately. Death has shown up close to home and if we do not live with eternity in mind, we will not live well. I have some changing to do in order to “flesh out” that belief. I do not want to live “head in the clouds” but intentionally with priorities on people, truth, and love. May we have the grace and faith of Job: “But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last. And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God! Job 19:25-26
Honoring my husband’s brother, Ron who passed away this week. We are comforted to know we will see him again in heaven.
